Richard Andrew Winslow


Richard Andrew Winslow, 70, of Gansevoort died Sunday August 18, 2013 at Saratoga Hospital with his loving family at his side.

Born December 30, 1942 in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of Richard Frost Winslow and Kathleen Louisa (Phelps) Winslow and he grew up in Glens Falls, NY.

Richard served his country in the US Navy from 1960 - 1980.  He retired as a Chief Petty Officer.

On March 13th, 1965 he married the love of his life, Natalie Theresa Terrell.

He was employed at the Foster Wheeler Company in Hudson Falls, NY where he worked as a control room operator.  He retired in 2004.
  
His past-times included boxing, hunting, gardening, bird watching and everything related to being outdoors.

Richard is pre-deceased by his father and mother Richard and Kathleen, sisters Dorothy, Linnie and his brother Franklin Winslow.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Natalie Theresa Terrell of Gansevoort, NY and his 4 sons, Ronnie Call (Gina), Richard Winslow Jr., Steven Winslow (Sherry), and William Winslow (Tessie); sisters  Flossie Ireland of South Glens Falls and Joyce Wilm of Warrenton, Virginia.
  

Richard is pre-deceased by his father and mother Richard and Kathleen, sisters Dorothy, Linnie and his brother Franklin Winslow.  



Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, August 23 at Compassionate Funeral Care, Inc., 402 Maple Avenue, Saratoga Springs followed by a committal service at 12:30 pm at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 9:00am to 10:45am prior to the service on Friday, August 23 at the funeral home.  A luncheon celebrating Richard's life will be held for all family and friends at the Elk's Lodge directly behind the funeral home at 2:00pm.

  1. I will miss you, Uncle Dick! My fondest memory of you is when I was just a young boy and you came home on leave and chased me around the house until you caught me and tickled me until I nearly wet my pants!
