We (the Tierney sisters; Cathy, Margaret, Charlene, Nancy and Mary) send our love and condolences to the entire family. We have so many wonderful childhood memories of the times we spent with our Tierney cousins, and second cousins. Times when these city (Hawthorne) girls would get to go to the country and ride horses, go haying at the break of dawn, see snakes in the yard, sulfur in the water; but most importantly, always feeling so loved and welcomed. I remember when we were staying with you, and Joe lied down on your front yard in Hyde Park, and he made the horse walk over his body to try to prove to us that the horse was not going to step on us. That is just one memory, and he has most definitely left you all with so many wonderful memories. I can think of many angels waiting to welcome him with open arms.
ReplyDeleteThat picture of him is perfect! It is exactly how we remember him; always such a sincere smile that his made his eyes light up. Our thoughts, love and prayers will be with you during this sad time.
