Saratoga Springs – The
family of Sean T. Gailor, 27, regret to announce the unexpected death of their
son and brother who passed away on Saturday May 24, 2014 at his home in Austin,
Texas.
Sean was born on June
17, 1986 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y; the son of Michael V. Gailor and Karen
Bosley Stehlin. A 2004 graduate of
Saratoga Springs High School, Sean continued his education at Hudson Valley
Community College and later earned his Bachelor Degree from Suny Albany.
Sean joined the Army
National Guard in 2009 and served in Iraq. After serving in Iraq he was stationed at West
Point with the Warrior Transition Unit and often spoke about his fellow
soldiers there.
He worked part time
doing odd jobs while attending college full time and earning his degree.
He was a loving son,
who enjoyed basketball, football and spending time with family and friends.
Sean loved his dog Roxy and his late childhood dog he grew up with
Harley. Sean loved to travel and live life by the seat of his pants
always looking for a new adventure. He was a kind hearted young man with
a big smile, always there to help a friend in need. A great son and
brother who loved all his family he will be greatly missed.
Sean is survived by
his Mother Karen Stehlin (Robert), Father Michael V. Gailor (Mary Williams),
brother’s: Michael Gailor, stepsister: Renee Stehlin, stepbrothers: Brad
Stehlin, James Williams, Derek Williams, Grandparents: Eileen Cormie Gailor,
Catherine Bosley (Thomas), Aunts: Gerri Arpey (John), Julie Gailor, Donna
Myers (Joe), Uncles: Ernest Gailor (Gail), Steven Gailor, Peter Gailor, Tom
Bosley (Mary), John Bosley, Patrick Bosley (Lorraine), and many nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
Sean is predeceased by
his grandfather Ernest N. Gailor.
The family would like
to give a special thanks to Sean’s fellow soldier and good friend Staff Sgt.
Dominguez of the US Army Military Funeral Program as well as all those who have
assisted him in providing the services for Sean’s burial at St Peter’s
Cemetery.
Friends and family may
call on Sunday June 1, 2014 from 4pm to 7pm at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402
Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion).
A Mass with Christian
Burial in honor of Sean’s life will be held on Monday June 2, 2014, 11 a.m., at
St Clements Church, 231 Lake Ave., with Rev. Paul Borowski C.Ss.R. officiating.
Interment following
services at St. Peter’s cemetery.
