June Henning Sherman

June Henning Sherman 85, died peacefully on Sunday, January 6, 2013 with her family at her side, at Saratoga Care Nursing Home, Saratoga Springs, NY.  She was born August 28, 1927 in Saratoga Springs, NY, the daughter of the late William and Marion Sickler Henning.  She married the love of her life, Glenn Sherman, He predeceased her in 1997.

June was a licensed masseuse, she worked for the NY State Bath House, Saratoga Springs for many years, also she worked for Saratoga ARC and Office of The Aging in Ballston Spa, as an Aid and Bus Driver.

Glenn and June were involved in the Development of the Special Olympics in Saratoga.
June was well known for open door policy where everyone was welcome for a cup of coffee.  
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Saratoga Sp., NY
June is survived by: daughters, Linda Sherman and Lori Evans; brothers William Henning Jr. (Eleanor) and Gerald Sickler (Cecile).

A funeral service will be held on Thursday January 10, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY, Where friends and family may call on Wednesday January 9, 2013, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
