Sean T. Gailor





Saratoga Springs – The family of Sean T. Gailor, 27, regret to announce the unexpected death of their son and brother who passed away on Saturday May 24, 2014 at his home in Austin, Texas. 

Sean was born on June 17, 1986 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y; the son of Michael V. Gailor and Karen Bosley Stehlin.  A 2004 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School, Sean continued his education at Hudson Valley Community College and later earned his Bachelor Degree from Suny Albany.

Edwin C. Wells Jr.

Edwin C. Wells Jr., 72, of Saratoga Springs, NY passed away on May 15, 2014 at home with his loving family at his side.

Edwin was born on Feb. 9, 1942 in Albany NY,  the son of the late Edwin Sr. and Mary Lacomb Wells.

Edwin worked for M&J Printing Company as a Four Color Stripper.

He married the love of his life Susan A. Hockford on Dec. 21, 1993.

Edwin is survived by his wife Susan and many family and friends.

Private family services will be held.

Ingalill (Johanssen) Rice



Ingalill Rice, 79, passed away on Monday May 26, 2014, at her daughters home in Ballston Spa with her loving family at her side.  She was born on June 20, 1934 the daughter of the late Gustav and Elin Johanssen in Gothenburg, Sweden. 
Ingalill grew up in Gothenburg coming to the US in 1953.  She arrived in Chicago where she met and Married
 Harry Rice in 1956 he predeceased her after 43 years of marriage in 1999.
Ingalill worked for Will County Senior Services as a Director for many years.  She enjoyed music, old movies and traveling. She fell in love with the Saratoga Springs area where she retired with Harry in 1993.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy M. O’Rourke (John P.); sons, Brian (Laurie) and Jody (Kristy) Rice; brother, Jan Granstedt; sister, Marianne Ackemar, grandchildren, Kevin and Kelsey O’Rourke, Eric Rice and Kyle Rice

Lillian Santangelo




Saratoga Springs Lillian Santangelo, 90, of Saratoga Springs passed away at Saratoga Hospital on May 10, 2014.  

She was born in New York, New York on December 19, 1923, the daughter of the late Joseph DiVita and RosaTortoricci. Lillian grew up in New York City.   

Lillian married Harold Santangelo and they spent 32 years together.  She worked as a supervisor for 27 years at The National Bank of Westchester in New Rochelle NY.

She enjoyed reading, bowling, walks in the park and loved old black and white movies.

Galway –James Taylor, 48, of Galway passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2014.

Born in Niskayuna, New York on October 27, 1965, the son of Herbert T. Taylor and Sandra Lee A. Hatala.

James grew up in Galway, graduated from Galway Central High, and attended Schenectady Community Collage.  James worked at Peckham’s as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

James enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and getting together with friends and family having BBQ Outings.  He was an avid Raider’s fan and loved the ocean. James was a lifetime Eagle Member at Aerie 2586 Saratoga, and he was also a member of the American Legion Post 70 Sal. James always enjoyed helping someone in need.

Jyl Sullivan, 68, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, May 6th 2014 in her home in Saratoga Springs, NY.  Jyl was born on October 29, 1946 to the late Cecil William and Mahelen Julia Hester McCullars in Tyler, TX. 
Jyl was raised in Tyler, Texas. She worked as a Clinical Social Worker for 30 years in Saratoga Springs. She enjoyed cooking, music, animals, travel, reading, poetry, painting and general hilarity. She was known for her wit, humor, and propensity to burst into song.

Claudia Karavolas Karam

Claudia Karavolas Karam, 59, was a long time resident of Saratoga Springs, NY. She passed away suddenly at Saratoga Springs Hospital on May 5th, 2014 after an exhausting battle with terminal brain cancer.
She was born April 6th, 1955 in Istanbul, and grew up with her brother Christian Karavolas. She moved to the U.S. and attended the University of Texas at Arlington where she received her Bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts with a focus in art history.  She later moved to Long Island, NY where she was employed as a mortgage loan officer, had her daughter, Lili Karam, and met her husband, Louis Gilmore. Later, she moved with her family to Saratoga Springs, NY where she was employed as a real estate agent.

Artie Lorraine Haizlip





Artie Lorraine Haizlip

A. Lorraine Haizlip, 87, passed away on Monday, May 5th 2014 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.  She was born on April 15th, 1927 to the late Edward K. and Alma Gregg Lewis in Juliette, GA.

Lorraine served her country in the United States Army as an LPN.  While living in Plattsburgh, NY for many years, in addition to raising her family, she attended CVPH Medical Center School of Nursing earning her RN degree, later graduating from Cornell University with her masters.  Nursing was her life and she held many positions in various hospitals throughout the years in New York, Florida and North Carolina. After retirement Lorraine enjoyed traveling throughout the country with her late husband Jack Haizlip, who predeceased her in 2008.
