Shirley Ann Fuller, age 82, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on October 25, 1932 in Saratoga Springs, NY to the late John Elmer Freebern and Mary Lucretia Vanderwerker.  Shirley graduated from Saratoga Springs High School.  Shirley was employed with Saratoga Dairy as a bookkeeper. Shirley enjoyed reading, was passionate about needlework, and loved to go fishing.

Sherman "Fred" D Forkey, age 73, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 22, 2015 with his wife, Sue by his side.

He was born May 20, 1941 in Plattsburgh, New York the son of the late Leona and Homer Forkey. He graduated from Mount Assumption Institute and was one of the original "Montcalmers".

He worked for AT&T out of White Plains, New York as a cable splicer/communications technician traveling thru out New England and moved to an inside position in Albany, New York to be closer to home. He retired in 2004 after 40 years of service at AT&T.

Thomas M. Travis age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at home.  

He was born on July 29, 1949 in Troy, NY to the late Floyd T. Travis and Doris Salmon Travis of Stillwater, NY. 

Tom graduated from Catholic Central High School, upon graduating from high school Tom continued his education attending Hudson Valley Community College where he graduated with an Associate's Degree.  Tom later attended Sylvania Technical School for Computer Programming.

Hillar Oona, 81, formerly of Catskill, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2015.  He was the oldest son of the late Rudolf and Elfriide (Orin) Oona.  Hillar was born on December 5, 1933, in Tartu, Estonia, and became a naturalized citizen on December 2, 1955.  He was predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Linda Dibble Oona, in 2009.  Hillar graduated from Coxsackie-Athens Central School in 1954 and from RPI in 1962, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Warren Walter Lewis, age 71, passed away on January 16th, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 27th, 1943 in Ballston Spa., NY to the late Frank C. Lewis and Alice Reed.

Warren was active in the United States Navy during the missile Crisis and was involved in the Cuban Blockade.

Warren married the love of his life, Susan Lynn Morrill on September, 5th, 1981 and after 25 years of marriage they renewed their wedding vows.    

He was a self-employed painter throughout his life. 

Warren was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan.  He loved going to the Saratoga Race Course, in particular, the annual Labor Day Family get-togethers.  He enjoyed going on trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas.  Warren was also a history buff, loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed The Brother’s Breakfast Club.  He attended the Village Baptist Church, in Fort Edward, NY.

She was born on February 20, 1950 in Corinth, NY, the daughter of Bert LaPier and Margaret White LaPier.

June was a homemaker who was a kind, loving and a warm person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Donald F. Peters, 79, died suddenly January 15, 2015, at the Albany Medical Surgical Trauma Unit after a short illness. 

Residing in Saratoga Springs for the last eighteen years, Don was born and raised in New York City, the son of Phillip and Florence Peters who predeceased him. 

Don graduated from St. George Academy High School in New York City and attended Pace University. Don was in Industrial Sales and Marketing management most of his life retiring from National Electric Carbon Products in Greenville, South Carolina as an independent Sales Agent covering a large part of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic United States.  He also worked for National Electric Coil, Mcgraw Edison and General Electric Company as manager of the GE apparatus Service shop in Allentown, PA.

Prince Mount Jr., age 75, passed away on January 13, 2015 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 12, 1939 in Bristol, PA to the late Prince Mount Sr. and Jonnie Mae.

Prince attended Hungerford High School in Eatonville Florida

Prince worked for NYRA for twenty seven years.

Prince enjoyed taking trips to Florida, going on cruises, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Prince is survived by his loving wife Annie Mount of 31 years and they had a remarkable fun-filled life together. His sons; Prince III (Melanie), Darryl Mount (Ashley), John Mount, Michael Mount (Emily), William Mount (Alanna), Robert Mount (Tara), and Steven Ricci (Lisa), daughters; Shanda Lamar (Derrick), Shanda Steward, daughter-in-law Jennifer Wood Mount, brother; John Mount (Beverly), sisters; Lucy White (Joseph), Evelyn Ziggler (Flynn), Shirley Robinson, Mary Sanders (Frank), 38 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews,.

BALLSTON SPA – Doris M. Clark, 80, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on October 22, 1934 in Saratoga Springs, New York.  She was the daughter of the late George LeVoy and Elsie Emigh LeVoy.  

During her life, Doris worked for the Saratoga Springs City School System, the Saratoga County offices, and as a home health aide. She enjoyed knitting, movies, and watching New York Giants football. She loved the many pets she had over the years, and will be greatly missed by Rosie, her ASPCA rescue dog.

Richard F. Garnet Sr., age 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany.

He was born on April 6, 1930 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey to the late James Garnet and Phyllis Turner Garnet.

Richard served his country in the US Navy from 1947 – 1953 as a US Navy Ship Fitter.  Richard also served as a Police officer and Fireman in Mine Hill, NJ, and he owned and operated his own appliance repair business.   More recently he worked at Sarcom Inc in Hadley NY.
