Ethelda Estelle Kellberg

Ethelda Estelle Kellberg residing at the Home of the Good Shepherd in Moreau, New York, died peacefully, on March 23, 2015 at the age of 92.  Ethelda, was born on September 19, 1922, in Georgia, the daughter of the late Lee and Alma Reynolds Arnold.

Ethelda was fondly known as “Billie” by friends and family.

Alice Louise Birch age 73, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital, SC surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 13, 1941 in Lake George, NY to the late LeRoy Holcomb and Bertha LaPlanche.

Alice was a domestic homemaker who was a kind, loving and a warm person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. 

Joseph "Joe" Malatino


Joseph (Joe) Malatino, age 75, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015, peacefully and comfortably at his home, surrounded by his loving family, in Argyle, NY.

He was born on July 11, 1939 in Castiglione di Sicilia (Catania, Sicily, Italy) to the late Gaetano Malatino and Maria Vecchio Malatino.

Joseph graduated from Philip Schuyler High School in Albany, NY, and graduated from Siena College in Albany, NY, with a B.S. in Physics.

Alison Murphy, age 49, passed away on March 10th, 2015 at Saratoga Hospital, Saratoga Springs, NY.

She was born on September 21st, 1965 in Pasadena, CA to Gary C. Murphy and Letitia A. Vaughn.

Alison graduated from Bellevue High School, Bellevue, WA.

Over the years, Alison worked in the Restaurant and Retail industry as a Manager, Waitress and Bartender.

Alison enjoyed exercising, gardening, cooking and taking care of her animals.

Alison is survived by her parents, brother and life partner of 19 years, Scott M. Livsey.

She is preceded in death by her Grandparents.

Helen A. Coyne, age 70, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. 

Helen was born on September 12, 1944 in Saratoga Springs, to the late Dr. Raymond Kelleher and Helen Bal.  

Helen graduated from St. Peter’s High School, upon graduating from high school Helen continued her education attending Nursing School where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and became a registered Nurse.

It is with profound sorrow that we record the passing of Sally Jean Wise Russo on March 13 at the age of 79. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who died at home, surrounded by her loving family.  

Sally was born on November 4, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA, to Sarah Mitchell Wise and William Charles Wise. She was a magna cum laude graduate of Bryn Mawr College, and held Master’s degrees from the Yale University Department of Classics and from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Due to this extensive training and her compassionate, insightful and dedicated nature, she had a long career in the Philadelphia area as a teacher, social worker, psychotherapist, and hospital administrator at the Horsham Clinic and at the Institute of the Pennsylvania Hospital.

Edna Russell Curtis Brown


Edna Russell Curtis Brown, age 96, passed away on March 15, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Edna was born in Greenfield, MA on November 12, 1918, the daughter of Henry Fredrick Curtis and Florence (Russell) Curtis. 

Edna’s mother died when she was only four and she spent the rest of her childhood looking for a mother.  Edna graduated from Greenfield High School in 1936.  She married Ernest Everett Brown on December 11, 1936 and they had a remarkable fun-filled life together.  They lived in Maine, Vermont, New York, and Massachusetts.  She was widowed by his untimely death on April 1, 1976. 

Edna & Ernest had five sons; Fred, Howard, Arthur, Edward, and Raymond; but Edna also helped raise another twenty or more children as Grandma, Auntie, or Nanny… a vocation that she followed well into her 80’s.  From 1966 to 1973, she cared for veterans at Highland Manor…doing all the cooking, cleaning, and laundry for 18 men all by herself.  Edna was a hard worker her whole life.

Nicholas DeLuca



Nicholas DeLuca age 55, passed away of natural causes on Sunday, March 8, 2015.

He was born on February 16, 1960 in Buffalo, NY to Vincenzo DeLuca and Yvonne (DeVore) DeLuca.

Nicholas was a Corrections Officer for New York State Department of Corrections for many years, most recently at Great Meadow in Comstock, NY.  He retired as a Lieutenant in November of 2010 after 28 years of service during which time he attained many certifications. He also served in the Army and Air Force National Guard, including a tour in Saudi Arabia.

Rudolph "Lance" Graska, age 75, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on October 1, 1939 in Canterbury, CT to the late Rudolph J. Graska and Ann Deltac Graska

Lance graduated from Griswold High School in Griswold Ct.

He worked primarily as a welder in the construction industry for many years, although he was a jack of all trades. Later he worked as a school bus driver for several years before retiring.

Evelyn Goldblatt:

Evelyn Goldblatt, age 95, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Washington Center, near Saratoga Springs, NY. She was surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on May 7, 1919 in The Bronx, New York, to the late Abraham Selesko and Sarah Brooks. 

Evelyn was a homemaker and artist who was a kind, loving, and warm person. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

William T. Nolan

William Thomas Nolan, age 77, passed away suddenly March 5, 2015 at his home in Saratoga Springs surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born on June 12, 1937 in Albany, New York.  He attended Vincentian Institute in Albany and graduated from Minerva Central School where he excelled in Sports. 

Bill served on the NYS police force for 30 years before retiring in 1989 from Troop T where he served as Tech. Sargent.

He enjoyed racing and training horses at the harness track in Saratoga, golf, hockey, Notre Dame and the NY Yankees.  Bill was a born leader. He also believed in giving back and helped with fundraising at the Blessed Sacrament in Albany as well as serving as president of the Adirondack Red Wings Booster Club. He and his wife of 31 years, Nancy, loved to travel and especially enjoyed going on cruises.

Alice Malloy, age 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 05, 2015.

She was born on March 22, 1925 in Peekskill, New York to Thomas McGrisken and Gertrude (Minnie) Grab.  She resided several years in Huntington, Long Island and then settled in Averill Park where she raised her family.

Alice married the late Robert F. Malloy and they had a remarkable fun-filled life together.  Alice, before enjoying retirement, worked at Key Bank in West Sand Lake, NY as a teller.

Alice enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, canning, gardening, being outside enjoying nature and always enjoyed visiting with her many friends and family.

Irving Avery Lacy Jr, age 74 passed away on Thursday, March 05, 2015 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born on August 4, 1940 in the city of White Plains, NY to the late Irving Avery Lacy Sr. and Muriel Ross Morrison. 

Irving graduated from White Plains High School.  Irving operated and owned Bud Lacy Business Equipment and Sandis Tools in Saratoga Springs for many years, he loved his tool store.  He had a passion for breathing new life into old things, taking what was once just a pile of rusty pieces and recreating it with purchased, fabricated and found parts and loved to tell the story.

Lorraine Faith Cummings, age 60, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on November 24, 1954 in Saratoga Springs, New York to the late Harold H. Cole Sr. and Doris Brownell.

Lorraine married Michael Cummings on March 31, 1971 and they had a remarkable fun-filled life together, they enjoyed the outdoors, camping, playing golf, swimming and traveling.
