Earl Elmer Lamica


BELMONT, NY

Earl Elmer Lamica, born April 17, 1927, in Belmont, New York, to Ovila Gilbert Lamica and Ida Mae (Spinner) Lamica, passed away at age 87 on August 29, 2014, at the Wesley Healthcare
Nursing Home.

Earl grew up and went to school in Malone, NY, before enlisting in 1945.  He served his country in the US Army until he was discharged in 1948.  He reenlisted in 1949 in the US Air Force, was deployed to Japan, and continued his service for another three years during the Korean Conflict.

Earl worked in several fields throughout his life, including the New York Central Railroad Extra Gang, raising and floating tracks ... Jefferson Ward (a division of Montgomery Ward) in Virginia ... 20 years with JM Fields department stores ... and started his own business, Lamica Janitorial Co., right here in Saratoga Springs.

Earl loved country music, he loved guitar and he definitely loved the Red Sox ... but Earl loved his family above all else.  Loving father of three sons, grandfather of six, uncle and great grandfather to a large family, and devoted husband of Marie ... Earl was very loved and will be much missed.

Earl is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie Theresa Chevalier Lamica; son, Alan Lamica, Sr.; grandson, Alan Lamica, Jr.; sister, Margaret; and brothers, Lester, Robert, Emory, Bernard, Carlton and Stanley.

Earl is survived by his sons, Bruce Lamica, Sr. and Craig Lamica; brother, David Lamica; grand children, Daniel, Christopher, Sharon, Bruce Jr. and Tina; and step-granchildren, Gina, April and Shelly; along with a wealth of nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

A private family funeral service will be held at Compassionate Funeral Care and interment will be in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.  For date and time of services, please call, 518-636-6941.

Courtney Elizabeth Bouton




ST PETERS, MO and SOUTH GLENS FALLS, NY

Courtney Elizabeth Bouton of St Peters, MO and formerly of South Glens Falls NY crossed over to her spiritual family on Wednesday August 13, 2014.  She was 25.

Born on August 3, 1989 in Glens Falls, NY , she was the daughter of Johnna (Bouton) Putnam and  Dennis P. Bouton .

Courtney attended South Glens Falls Schools  and was a 2007 graduate of Francis Howell North High School in Saint Peters MO, graduating at the top of her class with high honors and several scholarships.  She then enlisted in the US Navy and served from 2008 to 2013 as a Corpsman at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.  Upon honorable discharge from US Navy, Courtney began working toward her nursing career at Southeast Missouri State University.

She will be remembered for her wonderful yet crazy sense of humor that brought laughter to the people around her, the beautiful smile and a heart full of love, kindness and generosity.

She is predeceased by her grandparents John and Nina Nokes of South Glens Falls.

She leaves behind her mother Johnna (Nokes-Bouton) Putnam and loving stepfather James Putnam of St Peters MO, her father  Dennis Bouton  and his fiancĂ©  Melinda Barody of Moreau; surrogate father Rainer Mehalik and his wife Karen, paternal grandparents Donald and Claire Bouton, of Gansevoort ;  3 paternal aunts Beth Celeste and her husband Jack of Moreau, Kathy  Bouton Semmel and her husband Eric of Holden, ME and Amy  Ward and her husband Glenn of Wilton: Cousins Brittany,and her fiancĂ© Elton Smith, Lindsey, Kelsey and Mallory Celeste; Hallie and Sierra Semmel and Ryan, Jillian and Emily Ward; one maternal  aunt Michelle Rogin and husband Jeffery Rogin of NJ, one maternal uncle Michael Nokes of South Glens Falls. Maternal cousins Andrew and his wife Michelle Rogin and family of NJ; Stephen and his wife Crystal Rogin and family of Saratoga Springs.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday August 19, from 3-6pm with a Celebration of Life Service at 6pm at Compassionate Funeral Care Inc, 402 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY  12866.  Following the service at 6pm, the Celebration of Life will continue with a gathering at Rainer’s Ramada, 1 Abby Lane, Queensbury, NY.  All are invited.

A Graveside services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, August 20  at the family plot at Southside Cemetery in South Glens Falls.

Antonia (Toni) Bogardus

Antonia (Toni) Bogardus


Antonia (Toni) Bogardus, 76, passed away on August 13, 2014 at her home in Wilton surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 9, 1938 in Argyle, NY to the late Alexander Luniewski and Estelle Rukat Luniewski.

Antonia graduated from Schoharie Central School, Class of 1955.

She then married her loving husband Bernard W. Bogardus on January 23, 1959, and they had a remarkable fun-filled life together for 55 years.

Paul Butler Pritchard






Paul Pritchard, 85 a longtime resident of the Adam Lawrence Apt. went home to the Lord on July 27, 2014 after a brief illness.
He had worked many years at the Corinth International Paper Mill in Corinth and the Golf course as a mechanic in Ballston Spa.
Paul was a Boy Scout leader and Scout Master in Ballston Spa. NY  for many years.
He loved to fish and take his metal detector to look for treasures and he sure loved garage sales.
He was always putting puzzles together and playing cards and scrabble with his friends.
He was known for his sense of humor and jokes.

Steven A. Begni Sr.






Steven A. Begni Sr., age 73, passed away on July 30, 2014 at his home in Saratoga Springs surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 29, 1941 in Manhattan, NY to Ado Begni and Stella (Smaligo) Begni.

Steve graduated from Bedford Park Academy, Class of 1958

Steve retired from the New York State Department of Corrections as a Sergeant in 2001.

Steve enjoyed hunting, camping and riding his Harley Davidson and spending time with family and friends at the family camp in Schroon Valley.
