Helen A. Coyne

Helen A. Coyne, age 70, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. 

Helen was born on September 12, 1944 in Saratoga Springs, to the late Dr. Raymond Kelleher and Helen Bal.  

Helen graduated from St. Peter’s High School, upon graduating from high school Helen continued her education attending Nursing School where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and became a registered Nurse. 

She worked as a Nurse for the Samaritan Hospital in Troy for many years.   She was a loving, kind and a caring person always putting others first.  She finished her career as a case manager at Empire Blue Cross/WellPoint. 

Helen loved to cook, garden, shop, go to hockey games and most importantly, she loved spending time with family and friends. 

Helen is survived by her loving husband Peter, and they had a remarkable fun-filled life together for over 50 years. She is also survived by her daughter; Kelley Campoli (David), brothers; Raymond Kelleher (Debbie), Joseph Kelleher (Lorraine), Dr. Patrick Kelleher (Debbie), Dr. Robert Kelleher (Ruth), sister; Mary Pat Glovich (Al), granddaughter; Katherine Campoli, grandsons; Patrick Coyne, David Chase Campoli and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her sons; Patrick Clancy Coyne and Colin Casey Coyne.

A Mass with Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday March 23, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Clements Roman Catholic Church, 231 Lake Ave, Saratoga Springs with the Rev. Timothy Keating C.Ss.R. presiding. 

Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 22nd 2015 from 4 – 6 p.m. at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Avenue (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY.

Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

In lieu of flowers donations in honor of Helen can be made to the American Cancer Society, Cancer Research Institute, One Exchange Plaza, 55 Broadway, Suite 1802, New York, NY 10006.

  1. I knew Helen as a smart, fun, compassionate classmate with a great sense of humor at St Peter's School of Nursing. Her coworkers say, Helen was a great nurse and a good mentor. Helen was a very fine person. My thoughts are with Peter and family.
