Barbara Nora Brockway, age 81, passed away on Friday, July
31, 2015 at Washington Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on August 20, 1933 in Saratoga Springs, NY to
the late Andrew Peter McCormick and Beatrice L. Palmateer.
Barbara worked at the Ballston Spa Knitting Mill for many
years.
Barbara enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, word searches and
watching her western movies. She loved
volunteering her time to the Salvation Army, caring and helping others. She loved and cared for everyone and she
loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her family.
Barbara is survived by her sons; Robert McCormick (Debbie),
William Brockway Jr. (Brenda), daughters; Sharon Ann Lyng (Michael), Darlene
Maynard (Robert), Terri Wood, Katherine Santoni (Conrad), Tina Park (Dan),
brother; Andrew McCormick (Kay), sister; Beverly Hagadorn (Bob), many
grandchildren and many great-grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her loving husband William
Brockway, son; John Henry Rooke Jr., brothers; Billy McCormick, Harold
McCormick, Frances McCormick and Charlotte McCormick.
A funeral service in honor of Barbara will be held on Wednesday,
August 5, 2015, 2:00 pm, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave (Route 9
Marion Ave), Saratoga Springs, New York, 12866.
Calling hours for Barbara will be held on Tuesday August 4,
2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Compassionate Funeral Care, Funeral Home.
Interment following the service on Wednesday at Maplewood
Cemetery Saratoga Springs, NY
