Joan C. McLaughlin, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, August
5, 2015 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 7, 1939 in Glens Falls, NY to the
late Frederick and Catherine Kloss Richardson.
Joan graduated from South Glen Falls High School and met the
love of her life Frederick McLaughlin in 1971 and they spent 44 wonderful years
together.
Joan was an assistant teacher for BOCES in Saratoga Springs
for many years.
She enjoyed collecting dolls and traveling with her husband
Frederick to Haines City Florida every winter.
She was a loving, kind and a caring person always putting others first. She was a peaceful, quiet and sincere person
who was always there to lend a helping hand to others.
Joan is survived by her loving husband Frederick McLaughlin, and
they had a remarkable fun-filled life together, sister; Jane Marchewka
(Walter), and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
A funeral service in honor of Joan will be held at 2pm on Monday,
August 10, 2015 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave (Route 9 and/or
Marion Ave), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
Friends and family may call on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 2 pm – 4 pm
at the funeral home.
Interment following the service of Joan will be at Gurn
Springs Cemetery, Town of Wilton, NY.
