Maureen T. Zipkin

Averill Park, NY

Maureen T. Zipkin, at rest Thursday, Oct 29, 2015 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.  She was 51.

Born Jan 8, 1964 in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of Hazen and Mary Goodall.

She grew up in Green Island and Snyder’s Lake area and served in the US Army.

Maureen was a Licensed Practical Nurse, working in several area nursing homes, home care agencies, hospice, and last employed at the Albany VA Medical Center.
She enjoyed travelling, singing, and watching horror movies.  She will be remembered as a having a wonderful sense of humor that brought laughter to the people around her, the smile and a heart full of love, kindness, generosity and caring.

Besides her father, she is pre-deceased by two sons Steven Gryboski and Benjamin Gryboski.

She leaves her loving husband of 24 years, Alan Zipkin of Averill Park, a son Zachery Zipkin of Averill Park, a daughter Ashley Fink and husband John of Snyder’s Lake, three grandchildren Angelina Gryboski, Maureene and Rayleen Fink, her mother Mary Goodall of West Sand Lake, a sister Tina Clay of Georgia and a niece Kristina Clay.

A funeral service will be held at 10am Monday, Nov 2 at Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Avenue, Albany, NY.

Calling hours will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm Sunday, Nov 1 and from 9:00am to 10:00am Monday (prior to the service) at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Compassionate Funeral Care of Saratoga Springs.
